Cataracts Surgery in Dogs and Cats

All the information you need is a phone call away.

Cataracts in dogs and cats impair vision. Did you know that cataracts can also be a source of pain? Over 85% of diabetic dogs will develop blinding cataracts and cataract removal surgery often has a 90% success rate for restoring life-long vision and comfort.

Our mission is to help our clients understand what their pet is experiencing, in the moment, and what to expect, in the future.

Dogs and cats can live happy, love-filled lives without vision. Many pet parents have not been told that there is a best "window of opportunity" for cataract removal surgery to restore vision. We are committed to helping clients understand the options for their pet, and to never hearing the phrase "I wish I would have known" ever again.

Call our team to talk to directly to Dr. Nuhsbaum, Dr. Gearhart, Dr. Michau, or Shantell (Veterinary Technician with years in the field and an excellent source of information for clients who want to learn more about cataracts). We will help over the phone, share what we think is going on, and explain your options.

"We called (Apex) and spoke directly to the doctor. We learned a lot. Next, the doctor at Apex Veterinary Ophthalmology called our veterinarian to discuss my dog's case. The doctor at Apex had never even seen our dog. After speaking with the ophthalmologist at Apex, our veterinarian prescribed eye drops to decrease swelling in the eye and our dog is doing much better. We are very grateful.
